Incorporating Multimedia into your Webinar

Incorporating Multimedia into your Webinar

Hosting a webinar can do amazing things for you, no matter if you are hosting to impart information, or you are hoping to persuade potential customers to buy your product or service.

The webinar is simply a marvellous way to pass on info because it basically puts you in a room with your audience, and they all are listening to every word you say. But you can't keep your audience's attention the entire time by speaking – unless you are just that good and in that case, you should probably be charging more - so you have to add certain elements to your webinar to spice it up a bit.

One of the best ways to do that is by including multimedia

What is Multimedia?

Multimedia is just exactly what the term describes – a multitude of various media formats such as video, images, slides, sound bites, live whiteboards and more.

Why Incorporate Multimedia?

Well, why not?

If you are J.K. Rowling talking to a group of Harry Potter fans, you can spellbind (see what we did there?) people with just your voice. But for everyone else, video, slides, images and other multimedia break up the monotony and can pass on information much better in many cases.

What Multimedia Should You Add?

That will depend upon your platform and budget, as well as how much prep time you have. But at the very least, you should have a slideshow presentation, which you can make yourself in PowerPoint or Canva.

How do you add Multimedia?

This is a very good question, and the truth is, it really depends upon the platform that you are using. The best thing that you can do is get familiar with your chosen platform.

Read all the documentation or watch the tutorial videos and test it out a few times to make sure that you understand what can and cannot be added.

The Bottom Line You definitely should add multimedia to your webinar.

The right multimedia can have a major impact on your presentation. It can make a terrible webinar good and a good webinar great.

Learn how to improve your current webinars by making them more interesting and engaging, including the way that you present slides and using alternative forms of multimedia to make your webinar amazing.
